Spring 2017 Trends

Spring is here and we are ready for the bright colors and fun prints that it will bring! 2017 showcases a wide variety of styles and trends, which means that there is a little something for everyone.

Will you go with super bright shocking hues? Or are you excited for the 80s revival? Jazzed about dressing head to toe in florals? Excited to show off those shoulders and collarbones with sheer paneled beauties?

These spring trends leave a wide variety of jewelry trends to match! One-shoulder and sleeve cutout tops and dresses are ideal for showing off a simple or statement necklace (chokers anyone?).

Bare shoulders are also the perfect opportunity to wear dangle earrings.

Since Gucci has opened the doors to unimaginable amounts of eccentricity, many designers have followed suit with the concept of mix and match. For a while we have been seeing the large dangle statement earring paired with a smaller stud. Although these looks often seem more suited for the runway than driving to work on the freeway, there are a few subtle ways you can incorporate the mix-and-match look into your wardrobe. We suggest something as simple as mixing metals- wearing yellow gold with white or even rose. Stackable rings with gemstones and ear pins inherently allow for this interesting combination.

Trends such as "white out" go hand-in-hand with the super brights that have been recently seen on the runway.

Panatone outlined 4 colors for Spring 2017: Primrose Yellow, Lapis Blue, Flame, and Island Paradise. We've been seeing these colors carry over into jewelry with the popularity of the blue lapis stone and the almost "Tiffany-blue" (aka Island Paradise) showing up in gemstones and even on watch faces (like this lovely new Citizen we recently received in-store)!

A flashdance, erm, we mean flashback to the 80's was predicted last season and it has surely arrived! Flirty hemlines, chandelier earrings, and statement shoulders and sleeves are sure to have you digging in your (or your mom's) closet. Say hello to the 80's with big hoops and large circular shapes.

It is easy to embrace floral with jewelry styles that include delicate engraving, lacy filigree, or scroll decorations. Khaki is also back! This shade pairs gloriously well with a rich, glossy gold. Show them off with a long, fringe or lariot necklace or a bold statement cuff.

So there you have it, a brief overview of this Spring's most popular and exciting trends ~ Stop by to see the jewelry featured in this article's photos and more!
