2018 Engagement Ring Trends

Each year engagement ring trends change and each year we’re finding more and more unique designs. During 2016 and 2017, brides gravitated to styles such as marquise, pear, and oval-shaped diamonds, along with halos and rose gold bands. Although 2018 is just beginning, we’re finding several new trends being born, others that continue to flourish, and some that are coming back with a punch.

Vintage Rings

These rings hold a sentimental value and vintage is a style tried and true! Vintage rings are making a comeback, and we’re likely to see many more pop up throughout the rest of 2018.

Colored Stones

Colored stones have always been popular, making appearances as accent colors on

engagement rings. However, we’re seeing a rise in colored stones as center stones! No matter the color stone you’re looking for—morganite, ruby, sapphire, emerald—any “nontraditional” engagement ring will set you apart from every other lady. Maybe the stone is a favorite color or chosen for coming from the source of one of your favorite destinations. Besides from being a welcome pop of color, having a colorful center stone can allow the couple to say something specific about their relationship.

Rose Gold

Rose gold everything has been around for many years, and as each year goes by, the desire for it grows. 2018 is yet another year that gets to marvel in this warm-colored metal. The great thing about rose gold is that it looks absolutely amazing with certain colored stones, such as sapphire, blue topaz, pink tourmaline, garnet, and morganite. Likewise, having a rose gold ring, or a ring with rose gold accents, will give you just enough pop of color to have you glowing each time you catch a glimpse of it.
